Happy Monday!

And Happy Labour Day if you’re celebrating today!

On the list of “dumb things Ruthie does,” I can’t believe I forgot to put a subject line on yesterday’s newsletter! I didn’t even notice it until I saw the first one land in my own inbox. I think that’s just an indication of how the weekend has gone here so far! Here’s hoping today is just a nice, quiet, normal Monday!

This was always a bittersweet day for me because it meant we had to sleep in our city house so that we could be on time for school the next morning. We still mostly lived at the summer cottage until about the middle of September and my dad would drive us back and forth, but the night before the first day of school was always spent in town so we could get ready without rushing. And I don’t mind saying that as much as I loved school, I really disliked having to leave the beach!

Today I’m putting the finishing touches on the Creative Repurposing Society for you. The first task on my list for today is to get the sales letter done, and get the members area opened and hooked up so that there’s something there for you when the doors open tomorrow and 11:00 a.m.

Today’s Read: 5 Reasons To-Do Lists Don’t Always Get Done

There’s always so much going on in the online world that sometimes it’s really hard to keep your focus on what you know you need to be doing, and being consistent at getting it done. At least, that’s always been my experience.

I don’t know about you, but I start every day with to-do lists. The sad thing about that is that on a lot of days, there’s not much that gets done. Other things crop up, I go down rabbit holes in a completely different direction, or sometimes I’m just plain old undproductive with a capital UN.

What about you? Did you make to-do lists for the day? Are you following them, or are you easily distracted?

If you are, don’t feel too bad. There’s a statistic floating around out there that says approximately 41% of items on most people’s to-do lists never get done. Part of the reason for that is because we don’t always make the right kind of to-do lists.
