Launch Postponed, Plus Last Day for This Featured Product, New AI Training from Amy, and Getting More Engagement from Your DFY Content

Happy Tuesday!

It’s been a heck of a day here.

I found out last night that it’s probably going to take longer than I thought for Thrive Support to fix the conflict so that I can use both the Theme Builder and the Apprentice templates. Which means until they get it fixed, I can’t load any courses on the new site. And that leaves me feeling unbelievably disappointed and frustrated.

I considered setting up a subdomain just for Apprentice and using a third-party theme, but then I’d have to figure out how to make amember integrate across the two and there’s already some funky stuff you have to do to make the two play nicely together in the same space.

And so, rather than do everything in a rush and half-arsed, because I really do want this to be great for you and I’m planning on this being around for awhile, I’ve decided to give the Thrive Development team time to fix this and just move the launch back to August 15.

It’s not like I don’t have lots I can be doing while I wait for them, so this might end up being a blessing in disguise because it means I will have more done to include in the members area for the launch.

I’ve also made another snap decision about the site, but I’ll tell you more about that one tomorrow.

Today’s Read: 3 Ways to Get More Engagement from DFY Content

If there is one drawback to using DFY content, it’s this: it’s bland and very generic. And if you use it straight out of the box, then chances are you’ll get very little engagement from DFY content that you buy.

The reason for this is simple. If the original author put all their personality into the writing, it would be very hard for you to use it as your own. So, it’s created to get the information across, but not to have a voice of its own. That’s what you’re supposed to give it before you publish.

And, in a bit of a reality check, that’s also the reason DFY content sits on a lot of people’s hard drives. They don’t know how to give it their voice, or what changes to make.

That doesn’t mean there aren’t things you can do, however.
