Happy Sunday!
The quote above was on my Momentum Dashboard yesterday, and it’s been sitting with me ever since I first read it. And I’ve come to the conclusion that I let the world tell me who I was for way too many years. I won’t go into the gory details except to say that I’ve always been a people pleaser and have tried to be all things to all people.
And you know what? It’s dang tiring to always have to be “on” and to remember who likes what about you, and what you’re supposed to be doing around whoever you’re with at the moment.
I think that’s why I’m so excited about my new project. Because for once I’m doing something that makes me happy. Yes, I have to deliver what the customers want, but I don’t have to redefine myself for them in the same way that I feel like I do when I’m doing lives and workshops and all the other stuff.
And that’s kind of where my head is this lovely summer Sunday. Or maybe it’s just the frozen yogurt brain freeze!
