Starting Over on a Monday!

Happy Monday!

I woke up to the sound of rain pouring down this morning, but the sun is out now and it looks like it’s shaping up to be a beautiful day here. And it’s a perfect day to start over, draw a line in the sand, or however you want to describe it, but I’m feeling like I have a new lease on life and I’m taking better care of me starting today!

It’s like the pieces of a puzzle are all starting to come together for me. Yesterday I remembered to go and buy Sajan’s Morning Motivation Mastery product, because I wanted to read it for myself. Didn’t get there yet, but just having the content gave me an idea for a new morning routine. I haven’t had one other than to start the day as slowly as possible for years, and last night I decided that I need to do better at starting my day with self-care instead of getting up and hopping on the computer. And then this morning, I got an email saying someone is coming out in a few days with a huge package of morning affirmations. So believe me, I get the hint!

I think a lot of it too comes from the novel I’m reading right now about an older woman who never ever put herself first. And I could see myself in her situation, being alone for the first time in my life and not knowing what to do because I’ve always put everyone else in my life first.

This morning I got up and set up my new morning routine, with journaling, exercise, breakfast, and some non-fiction reading, and I’m determined that no matter what time I get up in the morning from now on, these are the things I do first before I turn on the computer.

I’m sure I’ll get a little quicker at it as I get more used to the new routine. Because honestly, 11 a.m. is a little late to start work, even for me.

But there you have it… it’s a start the year over kind of day for me, and I am loving it!
