So, last night I did a thing. I just couldn’t bring myself to do a newsletter yesterday because I was feeling pretty down, and I try not to let you see that too much. Because even though you know, and I know, that life is not always all roses and sunshine, no one likes to be seen as a whiner. So when I get to that point where I can’t think of something sunny to say or do, I’d almost rather not write.
I’m a firm believer that your energy shows up in your words on the screen, and I’m very conscious of that. Even though I’m not afraid to let rip once in awhile if something’s really bothering me (and if you’ve been here for any length of time, you know I get some good rants in every so often!)
So, I’ve been listening to a lot of Mel Robbins on YouTube lately, and she says that when you’re feeling overwhelmed or overthinking things, just do one thing to move yourself forward. So that’s what I did last night.
Instead of forcing myself to write a newsletter that my heart wasn’t in, I shut everything down and went and did some keyword research for my new project. One thing to move forward. Which turned into three amazing exact match domains that I can use to funnel traffic to the main project site. Another step forward. And with what I found last night; I can make a much more coherent plan for taking even more steps forward.
Today’s step is going to be sorting my PLR and template content so that I can start building the products. I’ve decided, rightly or wrongly, that I want 10 products and 10 blog posts ready to go for launch so that I can share a 100% completed site right from the start.
